Toilet paper alcohol stove using a paint can can be a safe room warmer but obviously you must keep it attended not for if you have small children. Also hobo stoves and candles can warm a room if you seal it off. In the bedroom you can tack up a mylar blanket to a wall and make a half shelter over your bed if need to help keep heat in. I've been in some bad situations and I can tell you candles can warm a room a 16×14' ft room easily and the mylar blanket used as a half tent over the bed about three feet from the wall to the bed will work efficiently. Stay warm preppers.

We just bought a house some old steel worker owned that never got married. 2 bedroom 2 bath but built like a brick shit house and it has a woodburner, oil furnace, and it has electric ac and heater when they made it. We moved in already owning a pellet stove and our own woodburner. This guy put a woodburner in his garage so we aren't getting cold any time soon 😂😂

Oil lamps provide light and a surprising amount of heat in a small room. Use a room with less exterior surfaces (not a corner of the house) or a basement room. For whole house heating in all scenarios you simply cannot beat a coal stove. Anthracite coal burns clean and smokeless, and you can be warm and toasty during a grid down as it requires no electricity to operate. Also, coal can be stored for decades as it is impervious to insects, weather, and water.

guys, did you never heard about, what's called BHKW's in Germany ?
In the German speaking countries, people are running 24/24 diesel generators, to give them electricity, and even more HEAT

Sponsored by solar. Yeah, try heating your home with that setup. SHTF scenario with blizzard conditions good luck getting much use out of that for anything useful, charging a few things and maybe a small stove, thats about it, if lucky. stick with reliable sources of energy, natural gas, propane, kerosene and gasoline. Wood stoves are great too. I'll take either one of those in a 3 day outage in a bad situation versus relying on sunshine. Hell, I have many times relied on gasoline and natural gas to survive.. extremely comfortably I might ad. Way more so than a 1500 or whatever $ setup could have ever dreamed of. Solar ain't nothing if you are serious about surviving a worst case scenario in your house, unless you have many thousands to invest, even then, hit or miss. That setup would be ideal (lol) for living out the back of a pickup if you had no better choice of comfort, reliability and lots of many/space to waste.

What about alcohol fuel stoves? They are easy to use, simple design, yet powerful, it doesn't produce smoke as wood would do, it's easy to find and also cheap. Thanks for the video.
