It's the middle of the month and I had twenty bucks left.
I went to the "fisheries" in town and bought a 20 kg bag of HY-GRADE food grade salt for $12, and I don't thinks it's iodized. It has an anti caking ingredient, … but that's all. Product of Sifto Canaduh, … That takes care of he eating salt. Now for a few hundred lbs of salt for pickling meat and fish. Seriously, … 10 bags would only be $120, … 440 lbs, … Make hay good people.
Hit the dollar store and bought two packs of crystal flavorings, and three bags of assorted hard candies. I don't eat candies a lot, but you good people have me convinced that spending a little money on such sweet trivialities might be important, .. you know, in the future. It pissed me off that the candy made with "real" mint and eucalyptis was double the price! I like the thought of a little medicinal benefit to the candy. Remember those round white hard mints you always used to get at restaurants? Well, I can't find them! I'd put up a couple of big bags of those things right quick. Also, The candy I'm buying to stash is all individually wrapped, … again, for future convenience. And I'm buying as many different kinds as I can too. If I remember right, they used to have those big bags of mints at the pharmacy of all places.
AGGHHH!!!! That Parmesan Cheese! I have 19-1/2 lb jars of the stuff free from the dumpster. Almost ten lbs of good dried cheese.
Hmmm, we buy our canned milk on sale for a dollar a tin. But those sales are getting scarce. A flat is 48 tins and we always have between two and four flats on the go. I'm still stocking up on the dehydrated Skim Milk Powder.
Those coffee pods, what a "for profit" marketing scheme/success they are eh? Three ten box servings will fill a quart jar BTW. I find cases of them in the dumpster so hey don't sell that well around here.
Instant coffee at my local store was $2.99 for 200 gram just last year, .. now it's $4.99.
I found a discount store where they sell freeze dried coffee for $2.97 for 200 gram and I just started buying ten jars at a time. Don't want to run out of my favorite form of caffeine. I do have thousands of tea bags prepped though, …
Where's the adult diapers? I want some of those things, … another "I'd rather have and not need, than need and not have", kinda thing.
Oh yeah, .. over twenty lbs of free cat food too. This cat food will make emergency Quail food if I grind it up. But so far, the cat likes it.
I could see one of those remote controlled cars being "weaponized". And that proves there's no "hope" for the likes of me.
    Have a great one.

The best deal I’ve seen in coffee is Folgers in the big red container of 51oz.which is the bigger size. I go to Costco buy the five max limit for that day for six dollars and change. It’s usually about eight something so that’s like two dollars off each container and they seem to retain the freshness if I store in my nicely cold spare room.
